Aceil Ankir, Psychological Associate
Aceil Ankir is a Registered Psychology Associate, doctoral candidate in Applied Psychology. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Psychology at the University of California, Riverside. Aceil has received her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, LA campus. She is currently doing her Psy.D. in Applied Clinical Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, LA campus.
Aceil has experience working with clients presenting with a wide range of concerns including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, grief, and chronic illness. She uses the Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic approach to help focus on challenging and changing unhelpful behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies to help in solving current problems.
Aceil, previously served children on the autism spectrum using behavioral therapy. She has completed training in various settings, such as a middle school and a women’s shelter. She believes that insight about yourself, your past, and your relationships are key to long-term change and increased self-esteem. With therapy, many can increase insight, strengthen their intuition, and learn how the body remembers words, patterns, feelings, relationships, and life events.
